he Villacerrada Market is a municipal food market that opened in 1981, at a time of rapid population and territorial growth in Albacete. It was built in the neighborhood of the same name, between Baños and Albarderos Streets, to serve a rapidly growing area of the city.
The building has two floors and has been renovated several times since it opened. It houses fruit stands, butcher shops, fishmongers, and stalls selling pickles and salted foods, and is considered the largest municipal market in Castilla-La Mancha.
