A little background

he Mercado de Carretas is a municipal food market that opened in 1981 in the square of the same name—one of the oldest in Albacete—right in the heart of the historic center. The idea of establishing a market at this location dates back much further: as early as 1925, architects Carrilero and Muñoz had designed one for the square.
The building consists of a ground floor with a half-basement and a first floor dedicated to market stalls. The upper floors, known as the Casa Carretas, house the offices of various associations and facilities for neighborhood use.

How to Get a Stall at the Las Carretas Market
Would you like to set up a stall at the Las Carretas Market market, located at Albacete? To sell as a street vendor, you need a municipal street vending permit or license: this is issued by the town council, not the market itself, and typically requires that you be registered as a self-employed individual or a business, be in good standing with the tax authorities and Social Security, and have liability insurance that covers the stall.
Las Carretas Market is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The exact fee is set by the Albacete town council; please check it before submitting your application.
Applications are submitted to the town council, usually online or in person, and may be granted directly (if there are open stalls) or through a public call for stall applications with a waiting list when demand exceeds the number of available stalls. You can download the municipal ordinance on street vending from Albacete (check the town council’s official website to make sure it’s still in effect, in case it has been updated).
Check the procedure on the Albacete town council website: https://www.albacete.es.
