La Tierra - Slow Food Barcelona Market
The Mercat de la Terra is Slow Food Barcelona’s farmers' market. It is held every Saturday at the Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies, on Avinguda del Paral·lel, in the Poble-sec neighborhood. It brings together more than forty local producers who sell what they grow and make directly to the public: seasonal vegetables, cheeses, breads, preserves, honey, and wine from small Catalan farms. It has been operating since 2015 and is part of Slow Food’s international Earth Markets network. From September through May, it is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; in June and July, it closes at 1:30 p.m.; and in August, it is not held.
